2025 The Masters at Augusta National will feature 95 players teeing off after Vijay Singh withdrew on Monday, including world No. 1 Scottie Scheffler, who has claimed two of the last three titles at the year’s opening major. Despite a brief absence earlier this year due to a hand injury, Scheffler has remained remarkably consistent, never finishing outside the top 25. Although he hasn’t added a victory since the Hero World Challenge last December, he enters as the clear favorite to secure his third green jacket. This year, Augusta National presents a slightly altered look, largely because Hurricane Helene damaged many trees. Rory McIlroy also noted four new greens—Nos. 1, 8, 15, and 16—but the course still rewards precision on second shots, staying true to its traditional challenge.
